When young adults in foster care turn 18, they are released from the foster care system. This is called “aging out”. These young adults are expected to live independently without guidance and support from their foster families and rarely the state.
-Close to 30,000 young adults in the United States aged out of foster care that year and this number is increasing

-Less than 2% have college degrees

-25% do not have a high school degree

-30% have been imprisoned
This organization provides lifestyle and employment workshops, G.E.D. courses, daycare services, and health care guidance. B.E.Y.O.N.D functions through the services of volunteers and staff.  We strive to follow up on those who complete the B.E.Y.O.N.D. program and if further assistance is needed we will recommend the services of our fellow organizations that are striving to achieve the same goal as B.E.Y.O.N.D.
